Kay Stanton, Cal State Fullerton professor of English, comparative literature and linguistics, will present a Saturday, May 6, talk titled “Shakespeare’s Women.” The 2 p.m. event takes place in Room 130 of the Pollak Library.

The lecture is based on Stanton’s recently published book, “Shakespeare’s ‘Whores’: Erotics, Politics and Poetics,” which examines female sexuality as represented in major characters, from the goddess Venus, to the queen Cleopatra, to the cross-dressing Rosalind, and others.

Hosted by the Patrons of the Library, the event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Howard Seller at hseller@fullerton.edu.
