CSUF Ranked Top Business Program for Hispanic Students

Cal State Fullerton's undergraduate business administration program, with a concentration in management and operations, is first in the nation for awarding degrees to Hispanic students, according to a recent analysis of U.S. Department of Education data by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education.

In the Oct. 5 issue, "Top Producers of Hispanic Graduates," Cal State Fullerton's undergraduate degree in public administration and social service professions was also No. 1 in the country.

Other CSUF undergraduate degrees ranked were:

  • 2nd in communications, journalism and related programs
  • 3rd in education, and parks, recreation, leisure and fitness studies
  • 7th in business administration with concentrations in management, marketing and related support services; and psychology
  • 8th in history
  • 9th in visual and performing arts, and communicative disorders

For master's degrees awarded to Hispanics, CSUF is ranked:

  • 2nd in history
  • 10th for mathematics and statistics
  • 11th for foreign languages, literatures and linguistics
  • 12th for engineering
  • 13th for communications, journalism and related programs

The latest rankings are based on preliminary 2015-16 U.S. Department of Education data.

In August, Diverse ranked Cal State Fullerton fifth in the nation and second in California for the number of bachelor's degrees awarded to underrepresented students overall in a similar analysis.
