Sixteen students from Shanghai Normal University traveled to Cal State Fullerton to participate in the University’s commencement ceremonies May 21 and celebrate earning their master’s degree in education with a concentration in higher education. This is part of a two-year program, where Chinese educators complete one semester at CSUF, followed by four semesters in China. Two CSUF faculty members teach in China each semester, and some content is taught and completed online. The program is funded by a $676,000 grant from the city of Shanghai for the CSUF collaborative international teacher preparation program, led by the College of Education.
