Maryanna (Boynton) Lanier, associate professor emeritus of economics, died Dec. 17. The longtime faculty member was 88.
Lanier joined the CSUF faculty in 1970 as one of the first female faculty members hired in CSUF’s then-School of Business Administration and Economics. She received her emeritus status upon retiring in 1988, then moved to Seattle.
Lanier was preceded in death by her husband, Ted. She is survived by her children, Buck Boynton and Suzy Delatorre, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
