Campus Veterans in the Spotlight During Veterans Appreciation Month

Share This:

One hundred years ago, the world celebrated the end of World War I on Nov. 11, 1918. These days, Nov. 11 is recognized as Veterans Day and honors American veterans.

Cal State Fullerton will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the ‘war to end all wars’ and salute campus and community servicemen and veterans throughout the month of November.

In addition to an invitation-only student veterans lunch with CSUF President Fram Virjee, the campus will hold:

Nov. 1

Flag Raising Ceremony
The Veterans Resource Center, CSUF ROTC and University Police will honor veterans and active servicemen with a 9 a.m. flag raising program in front of Langsdorf Hall. Maj. Jesus Cruz, Titan ROTC Battalion leader and professor of military science, will provide remarks.

Honoring the U.S. Army
Cake will be served at noon in the Veterans Resource Center, Room 244 of University Hall, to honor veterans and active servicemen in the U.S. Army. Similar programs for the U.S. Marine Corps (Nov. 8), Navy (Nov. 15), Coast Guard (Nov. 19) and Air Force (Nov. 29) are scheduled.
