Man One, illustrator of a children’s book about Cal State Fullerton alumnus and chef Roy Choi, who co-founded the successful gourmet Korean taco truck, will give a free public lecture and painting demonstration from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, at Pollak Library.

The Chicano muralist and street artist illustrated the 2017 children’s book “Chef Roy Choi and the Street Food Remix” by Jacqueline Briggs Martin and June Jo Lee, which has received several awards. Choi, a Los Angeles chef, earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy at CSUF in 1994 and also graduated from the Culinary Institute of America.

Man One is a Los Angeles native who developed his love of art through graffiti. His work has been featured around the world in exhibits and popular media, and his murals pepper the landscape of Los Angeles — from public buildings to art installations.

The lecture, hosted by Pollak Library and Donoghue Children’s Literature Center, will be held in Room 130 of the library, 800 N. State College Blvd., Fullerton. A book signing will follow Man One’s presentation, with books available for purchase through Titan Bookstore. Visitor parking fees apply on campus and parking information is available online
