Learn About Nighttime Wildlife at Tucker’s ‘Creatures of the Night’

Spend the day at Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary Saturday, Oct. 26, for a daytime look at nighttime animals. “Creatures of the Night,” held from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., features guided nature hikes about the animals that live at Tucker and family-friendly activities such as pumpkin-carving, crafts and more.

Costumes are welcomed and reservations are required. Cost is $7 per person and children under the age of 4 are free. Reservations may be made by calling 714-649-2760.

Other October events are:

  • Saturday, Oct.  19, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., ice cream social, and open house at the home of Madame Modjeska, 1:30-3 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 27, 11 a.m., “Slinking and Slithering” family scavenger hunt and hike.

Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary, which is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year, with Cal State Fullerton assuming ownership and operation of the outdoor education center in 1968, is located at 29322 Modjeska Canyon Road, Silverado, 92676.
