Expert Examines Allegations of OC Sheriff’s Department Misconduct

A series of controversial cases of alleged misconduct have shaken the image of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD) : a deputy was caught on video robbing the home of a deceased man, a sheriff stole a person’s credit card and gave it to her son, and several law enforcement employees are being investigated for allegedly falsifying reports as military reservists in order to increase their wages.
 
“The agency is irreparably damaged,” Somil Trevidi, lead attorney for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) Criminal Law Reform Project, told Univision Noticias. “Those are the most recent examples.”
