University Police Cpl. José Rosales has completed the California Peace Officer Standards and Training Master Instructor Certification Course. He is the first officer in the California State University system to achieve this level of training.
Rosales began service with the campus police force as a community service officer while working toward his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice; then became a sworn officer in the department. He is in charge of the department’s crime prevention unit.
“This is the highest level of instructor certification for police officers in California,” said Capt. John Brockie. “It is a multi-year, multi-module program, so its significant accomplishment and a reflection on his dedication and commitment to serving at California State University, Fullerton.”
