Nine California State University and six University of California campuses have earned the coveted California Higher Education Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Best Practices Award for 2015. The competition recognizes innovative project teams from both public higher education systems for implementing sustainable practices that can be replicated at other campuses to conserve natural resources.
The winners will be recognized during a July 20-24 California Higher Education Sustainability Conference, hosted by San Francisco State University.
Among the honorees was a campuswide sink audit and aerator retrofit conducted by the student group Powersave at Cal State Fullerton. A full list of winners can be found on the CSU website.
