Kevin Valenzuela ’14 (M.S. kinesiology) has been accepted into the California State University Chancellor’s Doctoral Incentive Program. The annual scholarship program seeks to provide loans to doctoral students who are interested in applying and competing for CSU instructional faculty positions after completion of the doctoral degree.
Valenzuela, a first-place winner in the 2014 CSU Student Research Competition, is pursuing a doctorate in kinesiology, recreation and sport studies at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he is serving as a graduate teaching assistant. His Cal State Fullerton faculty sponsor is Guillermo J. Noffal, professor of kinesiology.
