A listing of recent campus appointments throughout campus. Chair appointments were effective Aug. 17, unless otherwise noted.
- Ioakim Boutakidis, associate professor of child and adolescent studies, was named acting associate dean of student success in the College of Health and Human Development.
- Peter DeLijser was appointed to a one-year term as acting chair of the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department.
- Susan Glassett Farrelly, lecturer in secondary education, was appointed to a one-year renewable appointment as director of online education and training. It was effective July 1.
- James Feagin was reappointed to a three-year term as chair of the Physics Department.
- Brent Foster, associate professor of communications was named interim director of the Office of Freshman Programs, effective July 31, and will continue until a permanent director is named.
- Mikel Hogan was reappointed to a three-year term as chair of the Human Services Department.
- Kenneth Kass was named associate vice president/academic technology officer in the Division of Information Technology, effective June 8.
- Uksun Kim was reappointed to a three-year term as chair of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department.
- Michael LaCour-Little was appointed to a three-year term as chair of the Finance Department.
- M. Elaine Lewinnek was appointed to a three-year term as chair of the American Studies Department.
- Laura Lohman, associate professor of music, became director of the Faculty Development Center Aug. 17.
- Stacy Mallicoat, professor of criminal justice, was appointed to a three-year term as chair of the Division of Politics, Administration and Justice.
- Dale Merrill was named dean of the College of the Arts, effective July 1.
- Michele Mouttapa, associate professor of health science, was appointed interim director of the Health Professions Program, effective Aug. 8, and will continue until a permanent director is named.
- Kimberly Norman was appointed acting chair of the Department of Elementary and Bilingual Education, effective July 6. She will serve until the first day of the 2016-17 academic year.
- Sang June Oh was appointed to a three-year term as chair of the Mechanical Engineering Department.
- Sandra Pérez, professor of modern languages and literatures, was named to a three-year term as director of the University Honors Program, effective Aug. 1.
- Dipankar Purkayastha was appointed to a three-year term as chair of the Economics Department.
- Gary Ruud was appointed to a three-year term as chair of the Human Communication Studies Department.
- Michael Shafae was appointed to a three-year term as chair of the Computer Science Department.
- Bradley Starr was reappointed to a one-year term as chair of the Comparative Religion Department.
- Berhanu Tadesse was named interim associate vice president for information technology/infrastructure services in April.
- Sora Tanjasiri was appointed to a three-year term as chair of the Health Science Department.
- Kavin Tsang was appointed to a three-year term as chair of the Kinesiology Department.
- Stephanie Vaughn was appointed to a one-year term as acting director of the School of Nursing. She will be sharing the position with Cindy S. Greenberg, who has been appointed acting associate dean in the College of Health and Human Development.
- Sean Walker was appointed to a three-year term as chair of the Biological Science Department.
