Cal State Fullerton’s Center for Autism co-hosts a free “Social for Adults With Autism and Their Caregivers” from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, at the Titan Student Union. The public event is for individuals with autism, ages 16 and older, and their caregivers.
“This social event was a huge success last year with more than 200 attendees. The Center for Autism is excited to once again provide a fun day for adults who typically lack access to social events,” said Erica Howell, associate professor of special education and co-director of the Center for Autism.
The event, featuring music, dancing, bowling and other activities, is held in collaboration with the Family Autism Network, Chapman University and UC Irvine.
Reservations are requested and can be made online. For more information about the event, contact Debra L. Cote, associate professor of special education, or 657-278-8565. For more information about the center, contact Howell.
