Rose Espinoza, the founder of the nationally recognized after-school tutoring program, Rosie’s Garage, is the keynote speaker for the Women’s HIstory Month Reception ”Women Challenging the Politics of Respectability.”
The Wednesday, March 23, program will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Fullerton Arboretum and is open to all members of the campus community.
Espinoza, a La Habra City councilmember since 2000, started Rosie’s Garage in the garage of her home in 1990. She has been honored with the National Caring Award, National Hispanic Business Woman of the Year and Presidential Service Award.
