Poppies, goldfields and baby blue eyes are blooming throughout the campus as a result of the University’s turf-removal project. In celebration of California Poppy Day — and Earth Day — the landscape architect and contractor who completed the turf removal and replacement with wildflowers will join members of the Fullerton Arboretum staff to give walking tours of the campus Wednesday, April 6, and Friday, April 22.
The noon to 1 p.m. programs will provide information about water-smart plants on campus and how to integrate such landscaping in home gardens. Groups will meet at the Pollak Library’s Starbucks at 11:45 a.m. and walk over to the Arboretum. Registration is requested and can be done online.
