Annabelle Haaker, professor emeritus of English, died Aug. 21 at the age of 96. The scholar joined the university in 1965 and served the campus for nearly 20 years.
Prior to joining the CSUF faculty, she taught for a number of years at Pasadena City College and Cal State Los Angeles. Haaker authored a number of articles, reviews and book chapters, and was a member of the Modern Language Association, Western Shakespeare Conference, Renaissance Society of America and the International Shakespeare Congress. She earned her doctorate at the University of Birmingham, England.
She is survived by three nephews, as well as nine grand nieces and nephews.
