Gerald B. Hoth, professor emeritus of accounting, died March 11. He was 69 years old.
The business faculty member served the campus community for 21 years, including tenures as department chair, before retiring in 2009. In addition to his teaching and administrative duties, Hoth served two years as director of the National Association of Accountants, as well as two years on the editorial board of the Journal of Accounting Education. He earned his bachelor’s and M.Acc. from the Utah State University and his doctorate from the University of Colorado. Prior to joining CSUF, Hoth taught at Weber State University.
He is survived by his seven children, 12 grandchildren and his brothers LaDell and Paul.
