Four campus members will be or were recently honored for their achievements and service to various organizations. They are:
Binod Tiwari, professor of civil and environmental engineering, will receive the “Associate Editor of the Year Award” of the American Society of Civil Engineers’ Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering at the organization’s geotechnical meeting in March. He has has served as the journal’s associate editor since 2013.
Susan Fisher, emergency management coordinator, was honored as Orange County Emergency Management Organization Member of the Year Award. Fisher served as 2016 chair of OCEMO, a countywide group of emergency managers from the public and private section, including cities, police, fire agencies, businesses and educational institutions. It is overseen by the Orange County Sheriff’s Emergency Management Office.
Stephanie Reyes, assistant director of employer relations for the Career Center, received the Most Valuable Player Award at the Mountain Pacific Association of Colleges and Employers Annual Conference in December.
Dallas Stout, a lecturer in child and adolescent studies, was honored Dec. 16 for his retirement from the board of directors of the OC Substance Abuse Prevention Network after more than 22 years of volunteer service.
