- 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, and 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7 — “Two Small Pieces of Glass” focuses on the history of telescopes and how they work (lasts about 22 minutes).
- 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, and 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7 — “From Earth to the Universe” explores many aspects of astronomy, including black holes, and provides other details about discoveries and mysteries of the universe (lasts about 31 minutes).
A 2014 donation by Dan Black, a 1967 physics alumnus and entrepreneur, made the purchase of the portable planetarium possible. For more info, contact Shovit Bhari, staff physicist.
