Illustration West 57, the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles’ 57th annual illustration competition, kicks off March 2 with CSUF faculty, student and alumni representation. Faculty participating include Cliff Cramp and Chuck Grieb, professors of art, and Wendy Grieb and Kit Seaton, assistant professors of art. Alumni forming part of the competition include Alberto Castillo, Riza Cruz, Doug Sirois, Rodolfo Montalvo and Thinh Nguyen. Three graduate art students — Hunter Huang, Jesse Pak and Nicole Yang — also are competing, as is undergraduate Mira Prajapati.
Grieb and Cramp had their work selected for inclusion in the seventh volume of “Infected By Art,” which showcases the realistic fantasy art known as imaginative realism. The work of art students Yang and Pak also were chosen for this edition.
