“Each year since January of 2018, I’ve donned a reflective yellow vest, armed myself with a clipboard, pens and flashlights and joined the thousands of volunteers, including my fellow Cal State Fullerton geography students, who help with The Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count on a cold winter night.
“Of Los Angeles County’s 4,000 square miles, I often volunteer for the neighborhoods with the highest need: South Central, Boyle Heights, Pomona, East Los Angeles.
