U.S. News & World Report Ranks CSUF Among Nation’s Top Online Graduate Programs

Two Cal State Fullerton online graduate programs — business and engineering — ranked in the top 40 of U.S. News & World Report’s 2023 Best Online Programs list.

The online master’s in business programs, offered through the College of Business and Economics, are No. 33 (tied) of 223 in the nation. The programs rank No. 1 among the 23 CSUs and No. 2 in California, behind USC. The category does not include the MBA. Online business programs at 223 schools were reviewed in five categories: engagement, expert opinion, faculty credentials and training, student excellence, and student services and technologies.

The College of Engineering and Computer Science’s master’s in engineering programs ranked No. 34 (tied) of 118 in the nation. CSUF’s engineering programs ranked No. 1 among the 23 CSUs and No. 3 in California, behind UCLA and USC.

U.S. News & World Report evaluated more than 1,200 online degree programs for academic quality, across multiple disciplines to craft the 2023 Best Online Programs list.  

Earlier this year, U.S. News & World Report ranked CSUF ninth among U.S. universities with the most transfer students and No. 3 in California. Among all universities, CSUF ranked seventh in the nation and No. 5 in California as a top performer on social mobility.
