“Making the Connection: Mentoring, Networking & Sharing Our Experiences” is the theme of the fourth annual Women Veterans in Higher Education Conference at Cal State Fullerton. Keynote speaker for the Saturday, March 5, program is Lindsey Sin, California’s deputy secretary of Women Veterans Affairs.
The annual event is an opportunity for women veterans to be empowered in their personal, academic and professional journey, says Catherine Ward, assistant director of the University’s Veterans Resource Center. The program will include a resource fair, opportunities to network, free breakfast and lunch and recognition of all women veterans in attendance.
The 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. conference in the Portola Pavilion of the Titan Student Union is free and open to the public. Registration is required and can be completed online. For more information, contact CSUF’s Veterans Resource Center at 657-278-8660.
