Join TitanHealth for its biannual WellFest event on Sept. 18 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Student Health and Counseling Center. WellFest is an open house opportunity for Cal State Fullerton students to tour the clinic, meet medical providers, attend health and wellness workshops, and learn more about free and low-cost resources available on campus.

“TitanHealth administered the American College Health Association’s National College Health Assessment this past spring. Of those who responded to the survey, 42% said their health was either really good or excellent. This self-reported data says that our students’ well-being needs more attention. TitanHealth strives to close the gap on health inequities by providing wellness services to students at low or no additional cost. WellFest enables students to get a behind-the-scenes look at our facility and services, and provides access to several screenings. This introduction to TitanHealth is meant to reduce barriers and increase students’ confidence in accessing our services,” said Kerri Boyd Crooks, associate director of TitanHealth.

TitanMed will offer free oral HIV testing, screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar, as well as flu vaccinations. Physical Rehabilitation Services will demonstrate recovery boots, which are used to improve projected recovery time from exercise or overuse. TitanMed will also host resource tables on positive body image, health care referrals, pharmacy services, and family planning, access, care and treatment.

Visit TitanWell and learn to cook a balanced low-cost meal with Cooking Healthy and Optimal Movement Promotion’s teaching kitchen. Sexual Health Awareness Group will offer personalized Readily Accessible Protection orders. Pack a custom order with such barrier methods as condoms, finger cots, dental dams and lube to practice safe sex. Join Substance Intervention and Prevention’s opioid overdose training to learn the signs of an overdose, the steps for responding and how to administer Naloxone. Students who complete the training will receive free Naloxone kits.

Join TitanThrive for Healing in Community, a collaborative art workshop where students can create a collage, reflecting their vision for healthier and safer communities and symbolizing a commitment to a culture of care.

The first 250 students will receive a custom tote bag and there will be an opportunity drawing for CSUF merchandise, prizes and tumblers donated by Titan Shops and Campus Dining. Event wrist bands will provide students a free beverage with purchase at select campus vendors.
