Cal State Fullerton students can get their free flu vaccine this flu season by visiting TitanMed. The TitanMed flu clinics will be available Sept. 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Student Housing Piazza and Oct. 1-3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Quad.
“The flu vaccination is an important preventative tool. Getting a flu vaccination has many benefits. Flu vaccines reduce the severity of getting sick and help prevent illness, medical visits, hospitalization and even death. Getting a flu vaccine can reduce a person’s sick days so that they don’t have to miss important classes or work. The best way to protect yourself and your loved ones against influenza is by getting the flu vaccine every flu season,” said Kathy Castro, TitanMed’s lead registered nurse.
Every year, the flu viruses are constantly changing, which is why it’s so important to get the vaccine every year, added Castro.
Last year, TitanHealth gave more than 870 flu vaccines to members of the Titan community. If students are unable to attend a clinic, they can also visit TitanHealth to schedule an appointment. For questions, contact TitanMed at 657-278-2800 or email titanhealth@fullerton.edu.
