It was a night of firsts for Cal State Fullerton President Ronald S. Rochon.
Attending his first Los Angeles Angels game, Rochon had the opportunity to throw the ceremonial first pitch at a Major League Baseball game and celebrate alongside the Titan community at Angel Stadium during his first CSUF Angels Night on Saturday, Sept. 14.
“What a great night for our Titan family to come together,” said Rochon about the annual Alumni Association-sponsored event. “I’m so proud to be a Titan.”
Rochon cheered on the Angels from the Titan crowd, caught up with friends and family, took selfies with Tuffy, sported a new Los Angeles Angels/CSUF baseball cap, and enjoyed an evening at the ballpark.
Rochon, who joined the university as its 10th president in July, also took the opportunity to meet Titans and take photos during the game. He made a special stop to greet the Titans Baseball team and coaches.
The president had high praise for Ryan Day, Titans Baseball assistant coach.
“Coach Day helped me get that pitch right over the plate,” Rochon said, sporting his own Titans Baseball jersey with his name and No. 57 on the back.
