Cal State Fullerton and Golden West College officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement for a transfer guarantee admissions. This historic MOU is the beginning of a partnership with Golden West College that ensures their students who meet the transfer eligibility requirements are guaranteed admissions and wraparound services at CSUF.
This is CSUF’s first transfer guarantee agreement since 2011. From 2018-23, Golden West College has been one of CSUF’s top 10 feeder community colleges for undergraduate transfer students. This MOU aims to strengthen that partnership, increase the transfer yield and provide a smooth handoff from Golden West College to CSUF.
On April 18, Golden West College held a signing ceremony where CSUF President Ronald Rochon, Vice President of Student Affairs David Forgues, and Associate Vice President for Student Affairs-College Access and Career Pathways Elizabeth Zavala-Acevez met with the Coast Community College District chancellor and trustees to sign the MOU. Tuffy, CSUF’s mascot, and Goldie, Golden West College’s mascot, also made guest appearances to commemorate this historical celebration with photo opportunities.
