Whether students are looking to advance their career, switch to a new industry or deepen their expertise in a field, a master’s degree can be a smart investment. But students might ask themselves: Is it the right move for my specific needs and goals?
According to Indeed Career Guide, earning a master’s degree can increase earning potential, boost career advancement, strengthen job security or allow for career change. With these benefits in mind, it’s important for students to ask themselves four questions:
- Does my career require a master’s degree?
- Will a master’s degree bring value to my life?
- Am I financially ready to invest in a master’s program?
- Am I passionate about the topic I’ll be studying?
If the answer is yes to one or more questions, students should consider the programs offered by Cal State Fullerton University Extension. Designed with working professionals in mind, CSUF’s master’s programs offer flexible, accredited programs with evening classes or an accelerated schedule.
