Cal State Fullerton University Extension empowers students to take the next step in their educational journey with programs built for real-world success. The online bachelor’s degree-completion programs were built for working professionals or those with busy schedules in mind. As students get sidetracked with personal or professional challenges, the thought of completing a bachelor’s degree moves farther away from becoming a reality. At CSUF, the dream of completing a bachelor’s degree in business administration, sociology, or humanities and social sciences can become reality.
Online degree-completion programs at University Extension are the perfect option for those balancing their work and school life. The degrees are equivalent to ones earned by full- or part-time students on campus. They also attend the same commencement when they finish their degree. For students who are too far to commute, have housing instability or need to stay at home with family, this is a perfect option. Thanks to the availability of these programs, 106 students graduated through CSUF University Extension this past year.
University Extension’s online degree-completion programs are comparable to their on-campus counterparts. Classes are taught by the same faculty. Being part of a cohort means that students move through the program together each semester. Cohorts foster communities within the program as students build connections with their professors and their peers.
Many alumni who have completed these programs speak highly of their experience.
“I collaborated with my cohort and worked on projects together. Those experiences have prepared me with the tools to be successful online and at work,” said Natalie Maldonado, a current student in the program.
University Extension advises students to review their employer’s benefits and speak to a supervisor or human resources representative. Many organizations provide tuition reimbursement, which can lower or eliminate educational costs.
