Criminal Justice Students Raise Awareness About Human Trafficking

Share This:

As part of Human Trafficking Awareness Month, the Cal State Fullerton Gamma Rho Chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma Criminal Justice Honor Society is collaborating with the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force, Orangewood Foundation, Radiant Futures and Waymakers on a social media campaign in January to raise awareness for an important issue impacting families and communities in Orange County. The campaign can be found on Instagram @csuf_aps.

On Jan. 29, the Criminal Justice Honor Society students will host “Beyond Trafficking: Expert Panel Discussion.” Three lived experience experts will bring deep insight into the realities of human trafficking and share their stories, reflecting resilience, hope and courage. They will discuss the importance of community in restoration and transformation and share their belief that every person deserves the chance to thrive. The event will take place in the Titan Student Union Alvarado Room from 5:30-7 p.m. and is open to everyone.
