
Ben Carrington, one of the world’s leading authorities on the sociology of race, politics and popular culture, will deliver the keynote at the Center for Sociocultural Sport and Olympic Research annual conference on March 12 from 2-3 p.m. in the Titan Theater in the Titan Student Union.
His talk, “Politics at Play: Sports, American Nationalism and the Populist Right,” is open to the public.
Founded in 2014, the Center for Sociocultural Sport and Olympic Research at CSUF aims to promote education and research concerning sport and the Olympic Games in their broadest cultural, social and political dimensions.
