The CSUF Police Department earned its International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators accreditation in June.
IACLEA accreditation is a highly prestigious honor that fewer than 10% of university and college police departments nationwide have achieved. IACLEA accreditation serves as a benchmark for excellence, demonstrating that the department has upheld the highest standards in its policies, protocols and practices.
In April, IACLEA assessors reviewed the department’s policies against its nationally recognized standards for campus law enforcement agencies, with the department submitting more than 500 proofs of compliance.
“Accreditation reinforces that campus safety is a shared responsibility and reflects our promise to continually enhance the services we provide in partnership with students, staff, faculty and visitors at Cal State Fullerton,” said Jennifer Vallejo Rollins, CSUF PD accreditation manager and Community Service Officer program lead.
Immediately following the assessor’s evaluation of the department, they shared that they were impressed by its holistic tiered safety approach, including operations, property and evidence, community engagement, emergency management, continuity, and documentation.
The department was specifically highlighted for its proactive, intentional and effective engagement with the campus community.
“I am proud of the CSUF PD team for demonstrating our unwavering commitment to serving the Titan community with integrity, professionalism and care,” said Anthony Frisbee, chief of police. “In addition, I am glad our department’s holistic tiered safety approach has received recognition.”
Frisbee, Vallejo Rollins, and Gwen Dack, administrative police services manager were recognized for this achievement at IACLEA’s Annual Conference in late June.
