Susan Amdahl ’06 (B.S. human services), longtime campus staff member who most recently served as an administrative support coordinator for Outreach, Recruitment and Orientation in Student Affairs, died Feb. 8 at the age of 59. Amdahl joined the campus 1990 as an administrative assistant in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and served with Information Technology before joining Student Affairs.
“Susan will be remembered for the sweet, kind and funny person she was,” said her Sharnette Underdue, director of Outreach, Recruitment and Orientation. “Her thoughtfulness permeated her work every day and her sense of humor made working with her fun. She loved the campus and the multitude of students she came in contact with. When we lost her, we also lost one of CSUF’s biggest cheerleaders.”
A memorial service is planned for Friday, March 1, at 1 p.m. in the Golleher Alumni House.
She is survived by her parents, siblings, nephews and nieces. In lieu of flowers, an online donation may be made to CSUF’s It’s Our University campaign.
