2022 Outstanding Professor Lecture: Statistical Thinking and Big Data Explorations

Share This:

Members of the campus community are invited to attend the 2022 Outstanding Professor Lecture, presented by Sam Behseta, professor of mathematics and director of the Center for Computational and Applied Mathematics.

While technology has made it possible to generate significantly larger volumes of data, it has become exceedingly challenging to detect patterns in “big data.” Statistical thinking can help identify sources of uncertainty embedded in those patterns, and, as such, can contribute to stronger, data-informed decision making.

Attend in person from 2-4 p.m. Nov. 7 in Pollak Library, Room 130, or by Zoom.
