Alum Empowered by Leadership Development Certificate Program

Daniel Livingston is a principal compensation analyst at Orange County Transportation Authority, an alum of Cal State Dominguez Hills and a father to two Titans. He enrolled in the Leadership Development for Public Agencies certificate program through CSUF University Extension to extend his prior training in employment leadership.

“Being able to experience Cal State Fullerton’s Leadership Development for Public Agencies certificate program provided a format to share and hear experiences from other potential leaders from other agencies that I would not be exposed to,” said Livingston. “It was empowering.”

He chose to elevate his path to leadership and found all parts of the program, from the instructors to curriculum and the cohort, “fruitful and worth attending.”

“I believe it is always good to become active in learning, especially when it is in a learning environment where professionals can share and hear experiences, ultimately seeking growth in leadership,” said Livingston.

Learning alongside peers from public sector organizations across California made the experience especially meaningful, allowing Livingston to immediately apply new perspectives and strategies within his own organization.

“I believe in leadership,” said Livingston. “I understand that it is something that you must move toward to experience its endeavors.”

CSUF University Extension is proud to support professionals like Livingston through custom corporate education and leadership training that delivers practical, outcome-driven results.
