Bridge the Path to a Career in Special Education

Share This:

For those interested in working in a transitional kindergarten or kindergarten classroom who have earned their education specialist-early childhood credential prior to July 1, 2022, the Commission on Teacher Credentialing now offers a pathway to obtain the TK/K Bridge Authorization. To help students earn that authorization, Cal State Fullerton’s Extension and International Programs offers a fully online program.

This program is in partnership with CSUF’s College of Education. It consists of one online course, SPED 422, which focuses on eight teacher performance expectations, TK/K standards, developmentally appropriate practices curriculum, English language learners in TK/K and working with children who are orthopedically handicapped or have other health impairments.

The application for the Cal State Fullerton’s Education Specialist-Early Childhood Credential Bridge Authorization program can be completed online. The application deadline is May 31, and classes begin June 3.
