Business Advising Center Celebrates New Space With Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony, Open House

Proactive, individual academic advising is one of the strongest drivers of student retention and graduation. Cal State Fullerton’s College of Business and Economics is focused on that commitment as the Business Advising Center has doubled its professional advising staff and expanded its physical space, thanks to the leadership and support of Sridhar Sundaram, dean of the College of Business and Economics, and Amir Dabirian, provost and vice president for academic affairs.

To celebrate and welcome the campus community to the newly renovated space, the college will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house event on Oct. 6 from 10-11 a.m. in Mihaylo Hall, Room 1201. All students, staff and faculty are invited to meet the advising team and learn about the enhanced services offered by the center.

The Business Advising Center supports undergraduate students in business administration, economics and international business with degree planning, policy guidance and academic success coaching. The center also partners with faculty and campus units to help Titans chart clear, achievable paths to graduation.

With a larger team and a renovated space to accommodate more appointments, small group sessions, and drop-ins, including evening options, the center will continue to meet students where they are, especially those balancing work, family and full course loads. The center provides guidance that keeps students’ momentum strong and time to degree on track.
