This upcoming fall semester could not be more exciting as both California State University, Fullerton and Chartwells Higher Education partner to transform the on-campus residential dining experience. There is a shared objective to provide an innovative food service program that emphasizes quality, made-to-order food, menu customization, variety, value, student success, education, and forward-thinking solutions. Chartwells will be known on campus as Titan Eats – a name that resonates with the university culture and helps fuel the future.
Starting this fall, the university community will experience several enhancements across campus, including a re-branding of The Community Market featuring fresh and ready-to-eat sandwiches, wraps, salads, sweet and salty snacks, and plenty of household items. The Gastronome will be transformed into a new food hall experience featuring nine distinct stations with a wide variety of offerings. A heavy emphasis has been placed on offering a greater presence of healthy foods made from scratch and an extensive allergen-friendly program that clearly labels all foods with appropriate information so students can make safe and healthy choices when it comes to dining. The G8 station within the food hall will offer menu items free of the top eight allergens while the Rooted station will offer purely vegan and vegetarian menu items.
Off-the-plate-programming is a primary focus to provide students with an enhanced dining experience beyond what’s traditionally offered. Titan Eats will host seasonal and cultural events in the Gastronome Food Hall throughout the year as well as weekly giveaways, surprise scavenger hunts, and social media takeovers and more.
Chartwells Higher Education will also be introducing a brand-new catering experience to campus. The catering menus introduced on campus will offer different tiers of service from high-end events, everyday buffets, and a student-focused guide, as well as a contactless and disposable catering program to choose from.
