CSUF Business Grads Launch UFO Apparel and Memorabilia Company

In June 2017, David Salcedo ’19 (B.A. international business-global trade) and his brother Nick ’22 (B.A. international business-global trade) were students in Cal State Fullerton’s College of Business and Economics trying their hand at creating their first logo. As UFO enthusiasts, they created a simple white outline of a flying saucer on a black background, with the word “SAUCER.”

After a few months, the brothers created jackets and hats to identify with the UFO enthusiast movement.

Little did they know that seven years later, their brand would be recognized in the global ufology community as a trendsetting niche startup for apparel, trading cards and memorabilia.

After getting positive reviews from friends, acquaintances and strangers, the Salcedo brothers marketed their creations at the 2018 AlienCon at the Pasadena Convention Center.

“We took 1,000 items, and we sold out of everything we brought. We knew then that we had a concept worth exploring and expanding,” says David.
