On Oct. 1, Cal State Fullerton and Santa Ana College hosted an event to celebrate the extension and expansion of its Transfer Guarantee MOU Addendum.
The celebration was held at Santa Ana College with remarks from Annebelle Nery, Santa Ana College president; Vaniethia Hubbard, Santa Ana College vice president of student services; Khalilah Doss, CSUF vice president for student affairs and strategic enrollment management; and Santa Ana College Promise students.
The original MOU was established in 2015 between the city of Santa Ana, Santa Ana College, Santa Ana Unified School District, UC Irvine and Cal State Fullerton. This historic partnership provided guaranteed admissions for Santa Ana College transfer students who graduated from Santa Ana Unified School District. Through this collaborative commitment, CSUF has provided approximately $70,000 in scholarships annually to Santa Ana College transfer Titans. More than 20,000 secondary and college students benefit from partnership initiatives annually.
With the renewal of this MOU Addendum, CSUF has expanded transfer guarantee admissions to all Santa Ana College Promise students beyond Santa Ana Unified School District. This MOU commemorates the university’s commitment to support student access and success from Santa Ana College to CSUF.
The MOU would not be possible without the support from campus leadership, the commitment of campus partners and the efforts of CSUF’s Center for Educational Partnerships.
