Share This:

The French program at Cal State Fullerton is hosting a “New French and Francophone Film Series” in spring 2024. The series will feature critically acclaimed films on a range of topics and contemporary issues facing the French and Francophone societies: crime, romantic life, immigration, Sub-Saharan Francophone Africa, LGBTQ+, racism and police violence in France, and social problems with a focus on the working class.

Open to the public, the series begins with a screening of the French thriller, “Only the Animals,” on Thursday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m. in the Humanities and Social Sciences Building, room 110. French chocolate will be offered.

The objective is to provide a space for students to enjoy new French and Francophone films, learn about relatable issues faced by French and Francophone societies, and get exposure to a world through its films.
