Cal State Fullerton International Education and Engagement is proud to release its 2024 Annual Impact Report, highlighting a transformative year of welcoming international students and building a culture of inclusion, partnerships with international universities, scholarship awards, global alumni success stories, transformative study abroad experiences, and more. Through IEE’s various programs, global opportunities have broadened for domestic and international students studying at CSUF.

In the past year, CSUF welcomed 1,585 global Titans from 75 countries to campus.

“Each student brings unique perspectives that enrich our classrooms and campus community,” said Debra Leahy, associate vice president for international education and engagement, in her opening remarks of the report. “We are also deeply committed to fostering an environment that celebrates and supports the diversity of perspectives and cultures from around the globe. Our dedication to inclusion and belonging is stronger than ever.”

IEE is also proud to have sent 475 students abroad to 36 different countries this past year.

“We firmly believe that students excel when they develop critical cultural competencies. Their journeys across a wide range of countries have not only broadened their horizons but also enriched their mindsets, career paths and sense of self in the world,” said Leahy.

While domestic students were visiting countries abroad, multiple international universities visited CSUF. Seven international delegations from Korea, Vietnam, Sweden and Germany met with CSUF leadership for various partnership opportunities. This included Gachon University, Woosong University, Solbridge International School of Business, Fulbright University Vietnam, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Lulea University and Hoang Viet School. CSUF also established a partnership with Universidad Nacional de San Martín from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and visited the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, to explore study abroad opportunities for both KTH and CSUF students.

Looking ahead to 2025, the IEE team is excited to continue expanding CSUF’s global impact by fostering more meaningful partnerships, increasing international access to programs, and celebrating the diverse experiences of students and alumni.
