The CSUF Police Department’s Community Police Academy is a six-week class, offered one night each week, which provides CSUF students, staff, and faculty the opportunity to learn from subject matter experts and gain valuable insight into the field of law enforcement.
The academy will help expand participants knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of a law enforcement officer, address misconceptions regarding decisions made during critical situations, and engage in activities and tours.
Through the Community Police Academy, the department strives to increase public safety, build trust, engage in perspective-taking, and develop a partnership with the diverse community they serve.
