Cal State Fullerton’s Department of Outreach, Recruitment and Orientation is expanding its yield efforts to support incoming spring 2027 transfer students through intentional programming that bridges the gap between admission and enrollment.
On Oct. 10, the department welcomed 181 attendees to “Transfer Together: Admitted Saturday Visit,” a campus experience designed specifically for conditionally admitted spring 2027 transfer students and their supporters. The program provided an opportunity for future Titans to explore and connect with campus resources while gaining a better understanding of their next steps toward enrollment.
Participants began their day with guided campus tours led by Titan Ambassadors, followed by presentations from campus partners. Students received information about admission requirements, orientation, advising, how to read their academic plan and financial aid. Collaboration with Titan Hub, the Office of the Registrar and Titan Family Network created an experience that addressed common questions while introducing students to the university community.
Post-event survey results demonstrated the impact of this programming. Among survey respondents, 100% agreed that the experience met their expectations, helped them envision their future at CSUF and strengthened their connection to the campus community. Additionally, 96% reported a stronger sense of belonging and indicated that the experience made them more likely to accept their offer of admission.
One attendee shared, “I feel confident that my questions will be answered and that I will be supported here.”
The success of the event highlights the importance of developing programming tailored to the unique experiences of admitted transfer students. As CSUF continues to prioritize transfer student success, initiatives like “Transfer Together” demonstrate how intentional outreach and cross-campus collaboration can foster a sense of belonging and help future Titans feel confident in their decision to attend Cal State Fullerton.
