
Join Archiving Black OC and the CSUF Digital Ethnic Futures Consortium on June 26 from 3-6 p.m. to celebrate the conclusion of a four-year grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation with a special children’s book release and podcast party featuring acclaimed poet and publisher Jessica Care Moore. Hosted at Padekwa Coffee & Create, the event will celebrate the release of Moore’s first children’s book “Your Crown Shines” and the power of storytelling and community archiving.
The event will bridge digital preservation with youth voices, and offer hands-on fun for children of all ages, including interactive book readings at 3:45 p.m. and 4:45 p.m., crown making and inspiration stations, junior podcaster experience, book giveaways, and complimentary treats and custom activity books while supplies last.
