California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) offers three different fully online bachelor’s degree-completion programs that allow you to earn a degree in Business Administration, Humanities & Social Sciences, or Sociology.
Earning a bachelor’s degree online offers many benefits; students don’t have to worry about fitting classes into their busy schedules, dealing with full or waitlisted classes, or paying for gas and a parking permit.
Barbra Erickson, a professor for the Online BA in Humanities & Social Sciences program, added that “Online learning has the obvious advantage of allowing students to fit classwork around the many demands of work and family life. Living in Southern California, traffic and commute time to a university for ‘live’ classes can also be a formidable challenge.”
Cal State Fullerton’s online degree-completion programs are also completed on a cohort schedule, so you will stay connected with the same classmates throughout the duration of the program.
Dr. Erickson found that this allows students to develop a sense of community with each other. “I think it is encouraging to be able to talk with other people in similar circumstances — it gives moral support to know you are part of a group of students sharing similar challenges. As students move through the program, they also motivate each other when they can see the finish line.”
Each of the three degree programs are taught by the same professors that teach CSUF’s in-person courses. What’s more, you will be able to walk in the same graduation ceremony as all of the on-campus students and your degree is the same.
