The 24th Annual Securities and Exchange Commission Hot Topics Conference, presented by the Center for Corporate Reporting and Governance at Cal State Fullerton’s College of Business and Economics on Oct. 3, will feature SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce as a keynote speaker as well as panel discussions on the tax policy outlook, tariffs and the supply chain.
These panels feature leading private sector and government accounting and regulatory professionals such as Peirce and the former IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig. The event’s theme is “Tariffs, Taxes and Technology: Changes Coming Your Way, Are You Ready?” This annual conference is designed for accountants, auditors, tax professionals, accounting- and finance-related academics, attorneys, business executives, and business students.
Attendees are eligible to earn seven CPE credits and 5.5 California MCLE credits for either in-person or virtual attendance, so this is an outstanding opportunity for continuing education in a year in which tariffs, supply chain changes and the continuing evolution of AI are transforming the business landscape.
