Cal State Fullerton music professor and internationally acclaimed cellist Bongshin Ko will perform as a featured soloist in the Korea-U.S. Friendship Culture Festival on Sept. 15 in New York City’s Central Park.
She will perform two solo works composed by Jacque Offenbach and Astor Piazolla with the Seocho Philharmonia Orchestra at the world-famous Rumsey Playfield stage. The concert is hosted by the Ministry of Patriots & Veterans of Republic of Korea, which extended Ko an invitation to perform.
Earlier this year, Ko gave a successful concert at the prestigious Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall, where she received a standing ovation as part of the host’s Carnegie Hall Project.
