
The Faculty Noon time Talks continue on September 27 with Gerard Beenen, professor of management. Beenen teaches courses in negotiation, organizational behavior, team leadership, and leading change. His expertise includes workplace motivation, interpersonal skills, creativity, team effectiveness, and management education and development. His presentation, “Let’s Get Interpersonal: Development and Validation of the Managerial Interpersonal Skills Scale.” will chronicle research that sought to define and measure a model of managerial interpersonal skills (MIPS) that is both comprehensive and parsimonious. He will also distinguish between psychometric and pedagogical model of MIPS and discuss potential future research.
