Pollak Library Presents Noontime Talk: Schools Shaping Racial Identity for Black Adolescents

The Faculty Noon time Talks continue on Tues., March 7, with Amirah Saafir, assistant professor in the child and adolescent studies.  Her presentation is entitled, “Understanding the Role of School Ethnic/Racial Context in Shaping Racial Identity Development for Black Adolescents.” This talk will focus on exploring different aspects of how school ethnic/racial environments shape Black students’ perceptions of the school environment as well as their sense of racial identity.
